The Possibility

Marina Keegan

"Opposite of Loneliness" by Marina Keegan

The link above is a MUST read! I mean right now... stop reading my blog and go read Marina Keegan's article. Randomly watching abc news I found a story that I just couldn't pass up. This girl is amazing, brilliant, and completely right! Crazy story. I absolutely love her opposite feeling of loneliness. I hope that gives you enough motivation to read the article, if you haven't already clicked on it.

For an update about New York, since it has been a while, I am officially extra-ing now. Yeah, extra-ing, not really a word, but its my blog so I can do what I want. I have been very productive this week with finding casting calls and information about acting lessons. Haha yeah I am getting pretty serious. Figured while I am just nannying for the summer, I will spif up my resume with as much acting experience as possible. We have found plenty of apartments available in New York City but since there is still 3 months to go, can't really pick one just yet. But yeah that is about it. As you see, Jessica has not blogged. Guess she is a busy one.  No worries, she will come around.  Oh also I received an email this week from an organization about a possible fundraising job in NYC.  Closer to moving time, I have to contact him about setting up an interview!  So its happening.  Slowly but the possibility is here!

"We're so young. We can't, we MUST not lose this sense of possibility because in the end, it's all we have." -Marina Keegan

Officially love that girl.

Time to Plan

Oh hello there! (spoken in a British accent, of course)

Welcome to our first blog.  Well, it is really just my first blog.. I am not sure how to add Jessica's name to it yet.  This is all new to me!  Anyways, New York City is the reason for this blog so time to inform you about our plans.  We all know Jessica is a New Yorker at heart and for me I fell in love with the city at New Year's Eve.

If you know me, which most of you do, I am full of ideas, dreams, travels, and more.  Moving to New York is that next big idea, dream, plan, whatever you want to call it!  By the end of August our plan is to have an apartment outside Manhattan, one or two steady job opportunities, and a bucket list full of places to go, unforgettable experiences to find, and celebrities to meet!  No idea what the future holds in the next few months but New York is the plan.  We are of course on the search for both apartments and jobs/internships, but there is also one more thing we are pursuing.

Well if you know either me or Jessica, you know that we both LOVE to quote lines, act, sing, dance, anything with entertainment!  Yes, the big step while living in New York is to find a way into the entertainment world.  Go ahead and laugh all you want!  It might not happen, fame is a slim, slim chance.  But there IS a chance, and I am more than happy to take that!  I have to thank Glee, Jennifer Lawrence, New Year's Eve movie, Bridesmaids, New Girl, Happy Endings, haha all the shows and music this year that has lead me to this next chapter in my life!

New York City or Bust, here we come.
